Google will revise its licensing criteria on Oct. 21 for ads targeting the United Arab Emirates that promote crypto exchanges, software wallets, contracts for difference and rolling spot forex, expanding crypto advertisers’ licensing options. Crypto exchange and software wallet advertisers can qualify with an appropriate license from the Capital Market Authority (CMA), Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) or Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). They must also obtain Google certification and comply with applicable UAE law. Advertisers promoting contracts for difference (CFDs) or rolling spot forex must hold a license from the CMA, DFSA or FSRA.
