Google DeepMind and Google Cloud offer $3 million in compute credits to European researchers

Up to 200 scientists picked through the European Commission's RAISE program will get access to frontier AI models, including AlphaFold 3 and WeatherNext Google DeepMind and Google Cloud are opening their AI toolbox to European science. Up to 200 researchers across the continent will get access to frontier AI models and a shared pool of $3 million in compute credits. The announcement came on October 14, 2026, at an AI summit in Dublin. The European Commission, not Google, picks who gets in.
