Gold Falls 0.7% to $4,113.01 in Snapshot as Stocks and Oil Rise

Gold was listed at $4,113.01 an ounce, down 0.7%, in a market snapshot timestamped 9 p.m. ET Wednesday (01:00 UTC Thursday). Silver stood at $57.243 an ounce, down 0.09%. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.83% to 6,195.06. The FTSE 100 added 0.47% to 10,704.7, while Germany’s DAX40 edged up 0.02% to 25,558.6. West Texas Intermediate crude gained 0.48% to $99.27 a barrel, and Brent crude rose 0.19% to $111.44. The dollar fell 0.03% against the offshore Chinese yuan to 6.67252 and rose 0.02% against the yen to 158.17.
