giftee Group, Inc. expects a ¥550 million loss after unauthorized access to subsidiary giftee Inc.’s system led to e-gifts being issued, a charge equal to about 59% of its 2025 net income. The incident occurred Oct. 25, and the group disclosed it the following day. The group expects to record an estimated ¥550 million special loss in its October-December quarter. The amount is about 19% of its ¥2.882 billion ordinary-profit forecast for 2026. The group does not expect a material effect on revenue or operating profit.
