Gelephu Mindfulness City Partners With 3iQ to Manage Part of Bitcoin Treasury

Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) has partnered with 3iQ Corp., a Canadian digital-asset manager, to oversee part of its Bitcoin (BTC) treasury. The arrangement brings an outside manager into the planned Bhutanese financial hub’s reserve strategy, which aims to generate returns. The partnership was announced July 30, 2026. It covers an undisclosed portion of GMC’s Bitcoin reserves, with 3iQ set to use market-neutral strategies. 3iQ also plans to establish a presence in Gelephu and invest in local talent. The partners intend to share expertise with Bhutanese staff as GMC is developed as a financial hub for Bhutan.
