Garlinghouse Says About Half of RLUSD Sits on XRP Ledger

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said roughly half of Ripple USD (RLUSD) is on the XRP Ledger, where the stablecoin’s share grew faster than on Ethereum over the past year. Garlinghouse said the rest of RLUSD is on Ethereum. He described RLUSD and XRP as complementary, saying the stablecoin adds liquidity to the ledger. “RLUSD and having a stablecoin on the XRP Ledger is good for the XRP Ledger because we have liquidity on-chain,” he said. Ripple’s revenue rose to $900 million from $300 million in one year, its best year on record.
