Fireblocks denied it is currently in talks to be acquired by Visa, pushing back on a $2.5 billion deal rumor that would put the payments giant deeper into crypto infrastructure. “We are aware of the rumors about a possible acquisition of Fireblocks by Visa. This is news to us, and not true at present time,” a Fireblocks spokesperson said Thursday. Visa has not publicly confirmed acquisition discussions, leaving the status of any negotiations unverified. Fireblocks provides digital-asset infrastructure for institutional stablecoin payments, settlement and custody. A purchase would give Visa a platform serving those functions.
