Facebook Launches Tool to Let Users Shape Feed Recommendations

Meta launched a Facebook feature Tuesday that lets users influence the content recommended in Feed and Reels by describing the topics they want to see more or less often. The feature, called Your Algorithm, gives users a way to communicate their preferences directly through natural-language prompts. Recommendations update in real time as users provide feedback. Users can open Your Algorithm through Facebook’s three-dot menu. The same menu also includes Interested and Not interested options for individual posts, and Facebook may ask follow-up questions about why users liked or disliked specific content.
