EVEDEX Ties EVE Rewards to Fees and Sets a One-Year Unstaking Period

EVEDEX has outlined a proposed EVE token design that ties staking rewards to exchange fees and sets a yearlong exit period with penalties for holders who unstake early. Under the plan, staking one EVE would issue one stEVE, a nontransferable token carrying voting rights in the EVEDEX decentralized autonomous organization. Unstaking would proceed linearly over one year. Tokens that have unlocked could be withdrawn at any time, while early unstaking could incur a penalty of up to 50%. The penalty would fall to zero by the end of the yearlong period.
