Ethereum is scheduled to activate its Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet Oct. 26 at 1:42:48 p.m. ET (17:42:48 UTC), advancing testing of changes intended to improve the network’s capacity and efficiency. The Hoodi activation follows Glamsterdam’s Oct. 6 deployment on the Sepolia testnet. Both are test networks; Ethereum has not set a date for the upgrade to reach its mainnet. Glamsterdam brings together planned changes to Ethereum’s execution and consensus layers. Its principal features include built-in proposer-builder separation, which changes how blocks are assembled and proposed, and block-level access lists.
