Ether Leads Crypto Rebound With 71% Third-Quarter Gain

Ether (ETH) led a broad crypto-market rebound in the third quarter, gaining about 71% from June 30 through Sept. 30, 2026, as Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL) also posted strong returns after Bitcoin and Ether declined for three consecutive quarters. Ether’s gain marked its strongest quarterly performance since the first quarter of 2021. Bitcoin rose about 44%, its best quarterly result since the first quarter of 2024, while Solana advanced about 61%. The results put Ether ahead of the other two major assets by third-quarter performance.
