Elon Musk Replies to Binance Co-Founder’s Email Warning With Two Emojis

Elon Musk responded with only fire and laughing emojis to an Oct. 28 email-security warning from Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao on Oct. 30; his post gave no explanation and did not mention Binance’s security incident. Zhao’s warning urged followers not to open links or download attachments from emails, including messages that appeared to come from trusted contacts. In its Oct. 30 update, Binance put the estimated impact near $6.3 billion and the amount frozen on-chain at roughly $3 billion. The $6.3 billion figure is an estimated total impact, not a final net-loss figure.
