As countries continue exploring alternatives to reduce dependence on the US dollar, Phil Kwok, co-founder of EasyA—a prominent platform focused on blockchain education—suggested that XRP’s original mission should be reconsidered. Kwok argued that XRP can enable cross-border payments between different currencies without linking transactions to any particular government. According to Kwok, the XRP Ledger was created to solve inefficiencies in exchanging money between various fiat currencies. Traditional currency exchange often requires access to pairs with high liquidity. When these pairs lack sufficient volume, transactions become costly or complicated for users seeking to move value internationally.
