Dream Labs raised $90 million in seed funding and opened public access to Dream-1, a robot-control model API that turns camera observations and text instructions into movement commands for developers. B Capital led the round along with Kindred Ventures. A.Capital, Unusual Ventures, SV Angel, Wing VC, Scribble VC and Adrian Aoun also participated. Dream-1, the model available through the API, is listed at $3 per hour. The research beta currently supports bimanual, or two-arm, robots with parallel grippers. Dream-1 can make mistakes and has not been validated for safety-critical use.
