A Bitcoin (BTC) wallet inactive for more than six years transferred its entire balance of 999.953 BTC on Monday, Nov. 2, in a movement valued at about $78.12 million. The address sent its full reported balance, ending more than six years without movement. The coins had entered the wallet more than six years earlier, when Bitcoin traded near $10,727 per coin. The $78.12 million figure values the BTC at the time it moved; it is not a confirmed sale amount. A blockchain transfer records coins moving between addresses, but does not establish that a trade took place.
