US President Donald Trump addressed the reported $6.3 billion Binance hack during a press exchange at the White House on October 30. Asked whether North Korea was behind the attack, Trump said the US was still investigating the incident. He added that Binance had told him it expected to recover the stolen funds and had the situation largely under control, but said, “We’ll see.” Trump also expressed concerns about digital money, comparing online transactions with traditional paper checks. He said he had long considered digital payments somewhat dangerous because people can no longer physically see their money.
