Digital Asset Investor Says Ripple USD (RLUSD) Ratings Put XRP at Center

Digital Asset Investor called Moody’s Ratings’ Ripple USD (RLUSD) assessment potentially the biggest of several recent developments involving the stablecoin, BNY and Coinbase, and said XRP sits at their center. The A2 long-term and P-1 short-term ratings apply to RLUSD, issued by Ripple subsidiary Standard Custody & Trust Company. P-1 is the top short-term tier in Moody’s stablecoin assessment system. RLUSD’s reserve coverage exceeds 103%, with most backing held in cash and short-term Treasury bills.
