DeepSeek to Issue Credits Matching Seven Days of Account Spending

DeepSeek will automatically add credits to user accounts based on spending from Oct. 8 through Oct. 14 after an outage left its API unavailable for nearly five hours, compensating users after the disruption. The credits will reflect each account’s spending during the seven-day period. DeepSeek will add them automatically, and future API charges will be deducted from the bonus balance first. The outage ran from 8:11 p.m. ET Oct. 14 to 1:04 a.m. ET Oct. 15 (00:11 to 05:04 UTC on Oct. 15), lasting four hours and 53 minutes.
