DATA Network to Retire Standalone Blockchain in Move to Sui

DATA Network will retire its standalone blockchain and operate natively on Sui after a $30 million investment from Sui Foundation, reshaping the infrastructure behind its AI-training data platform. Sui Foundation will become DATA Network’s largest institutional holder alongside PIP Labs and DATA Foundation. The existing DATA token will move to Sui on a one-to-one basis, while locked and vesting positions will carry over unchanged. The network will continue operating until the upgrade is completed. A migration timeline and holder transition plan will be published before the upgrade begins, but no completion date has been announced.
