Crypto Payments and the Future of New Zealand’s Online Casino Market

New Zealand is preparing to license its online casino market, but the rules won’t stop at deciding which operators can take bets. They also reach something a player encounters before a game even begins: the deposit. A card payment passes through a processor and banking network before reaching an online casino. Crypto can take a different route. It begins in a wallet and settles on a blockchain, and in some cases, it converts into conventional currency. New Zealand is moving toward a fully licensed market in 2027. Up to 15 operators will gain the right to apply for licenses.
