Crypto liquidations top $974 million in 24 hours as Bitcoin reclaims $80,000

Total crypto market liquidations surpassed $974 million in a 24-hour period as Bitcoin rose 4.64% and moved above $80,000, according to data reported by BeInCrypto and Coinglass on November 5, 2026. The majority of these liquidations came from short positions as a strong price move pressured traders betting against the market. BeInCrypto referenced Coinglass to report that out of the $974.8 million in liquidations, $575.48 million resulted from short positions, accounting for 59% of the total. Longs made up $399.32 million.
