Crypto Liquidations Reach $49.43 Million in One Hour, 91% From Long Positions

A one-hour tally of crypto liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX reached $49.43 million by 5:30 p.m. ET (21:30 UTC) Oct. 17, with long positions accounting for 91% of the total. Long-position liquidations totaled $44.95 million, compared with $4.48 million in short-position liquidations. The count included 6,873 liquidation cases over the hour. The long total was roughly 10 times the short amount, consistent with its 91% share of the total.
