Cronos Network scheduled its v1.8 mainnet upgrade for early Oct. 22, with a roughly 30-minute interruption expected for block production and several network services during a one-hour maintenance window. Work was set for 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. ET (07:00-08:00 UTC) Thursday at block height 101,485,000. The expected interruption was about 30 minutes within that scheduled window. The affected services included block production, the blockchain explorer, the EVM mainnet endpoint, the Cronos Portal mainnet endpoint and IBC transactions. On-chain state was expected to remain unchanged during the upgrade. Ordinary users were not expected to take action.
