Core DAO Shifts Block Production to Validators as Contributors Step Back

Core DAO said Oct. 27 that Rich Rines and Brendon Sedo, two initial contributors, are leaving DAO positions as independent validators take responsibility for producing blocks. The change also begins a gradual transfer of ecosystem development, growth initiatives and network stewardship to community operators. Core described the shift as a new phase of decentralization. It expects more independent operators and community-led projects in the coming months, but set no target or timetable for transferring the remaining responsibilities. The announcement named no replacements for Rines or Sedo.
