ConocoPhillips plans to reduce its Canadian workforce Tuesday, marking a second consecutive year of planned cuts in the country, though the company has not disclosed how many positions will be affected. The reduction, scheduled for Oct. 27, includes employees and contractors. The company has not specified which operations or job categories are affected. A ConocoPhillips spokesperson said, “We routinely review our organization to align with our long-term strategy, operate safely and efficiently, and remain well-positioned for future opportunities.” At year-end 2025, Canada accounted for 8% of ConocoPhillips’ approximately 9,900 employees across 14 countries.
