Comer Seeks Delaware Records on Proposed AI-Run Company Framework

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is seeking Delaware records on a proposed AI-managed corporate structure, warning that it could reduce accountability for AI companies and their investors. In an Oct. 26 letter to Gov. Matt Meyer, Comer requested records dating to Jan. 1, 2025. The list includes policy communications, internal AI chat logs, agreements with outside contributors, safety and liability records, and drafts and comments on AIC proposals. Comer said the material could inform possible federal legislation to limit state AI regulatory initiatives. The committee set Nov. 9 as Delaware’s response deadline.
