In an X post, Coinbase addressed concerns about customer data exposure, clarifying that the cryptocurrency exchange itself did not suffer a data breach. "Coinbase has not had a data breach," the official Coinbase Support account on X stated . Rather, Amplitude, a third-party analytics vendor, experienced a security incident that impacted a small subset of Coinbase customer contact data, among other Amplitude customers.
