Senator Elizabeth Warren is expected to take charge of the Senate Banking Committee in January after Democrats won control of the Senate, the Wall Street Journal reported. The role gives her broad oversight of banks, financial regulators and digital assets, including the stalled CLARITY Act, which falls under the committee’s remit. Warren plans to push bills focused on affordability and anti-corruption, and is expected to examine large banks, crypto companies, Federal Reserve decisions and financial links to President Trump. In a post on X, Warren challenged Trump to use his veto against the new Democratic majority.
