Cisco and OpenAI Combine Network and Observability Data for Threat Detection

Cisco and OpenAI are combining Cisco’s network intelligence with OpenAI models to help enterprise security teams detect threats by connecting activity across multiple signals. The approach pairs security telemetry with observability data to help defenders assess whether activity reflects malicious interference or an autonomous agent pursuing a legitimate goal in an unintended way. Considering both kinds of information is meant to give teams context for interpreting activity that may otherwise be difficult to assess.
