China Crypto Bribery Added to Anti-Corruption Target List

China’s Communist Party has named virtual currencies and blockchain as channels for corruption in a new resolution. The directive targets officials, their relatives and intermediaries rather than ordinary crypto holders. No new trading ban, tax or exchange-specific measure was announced. Earlier bribery cases involving Ether and USDT show investigators already know the method. China crypto bribery is now a formal target of the Communist Party, which listed cryptocurrency among the channels officials use to hide bribes in a sweeping anti-corruption resolution adopted by the Central Committee on October 29 and published in detail by Xinhua on November 1.
