Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX) is preparing to enable cross-chain transfers of its gold-backed XGZ token, extending it beyond Ethereum. In an October 27, 2026 announcement, Chainlink said GoldZip and Midas Labs are integrating its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to move XGZ across supported blockchain networks. Key takeaways XGZ’s planned CCIP integration would extend transfers beyond Ethereum. Each token represents one gram of 99.99% fine physical gold. Gold redemption starts at 1,000 XGZ and requires eligibility and compliance checks. GoldZip targets physical gold reserves of about $300 million.
