The blockchain analytics firm says an attacker reached some user data but not investigation materials or passwords Chainalysis, a company whose business is following the money on public blockchains, has disclosed that someone got into its own systems. The firm said an attacker accessed certain customer records, including names, email addresses, user IDs and organization role labels. Investigative data and passwords were not touched, according to the company. For a firm built on tracing other people’s digital footprints, the reversal carries some irony. Chainalysis disclosed the incident on October 30, 2026.
