CF Benchmarks brings Wall Street pricing infrastructure onchain, including data used by BlackRock

CF Benchmarks, whose pricing indices underpin BlackRock's bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) and CME Group's crypto futures, is bringing its market data to blockchain networks as more financial firms look to offer traditional investment products through decentralized finance (DeFi). The company, which is owned by Kraken parent Payward, has introduced CFB Oracle, a service that gives blockchain applications access to its benchmarks for cryptocurrencies, stocks, bonds, commodities and currencies. The idea is to make the same pricing infrastructure used by major financial institutions available to developers building investment products on blockchains.
