CBS News plans to display Kalshi prediction-market data alongside polling, election results and race analysis during its 2026 U.S. midterm coverage, giving market-implied probabilities a place in the network’s election-night programming. The network’s “Election 2026: The Nerd Show” is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET (22:00 UTC) Nov. 3. CBS’ main election coverage is set to start at 7 p.m. ET (00:00 UTC Nov. 4). Prediction markets use binary contracts tied to future outcomes. A contract trading at 40 cents is generally interpreted as implying a 40% chance of that outcome, while a winning contract settles at $1.
