Cami Clark’s Introduction Linked Eric Schmidt to Anthropic’s Early Funding

Cami Clark introduced Eric Schmidt to Anthropic co-founder Dario Amodei before the AI company existed, and Schmidt later joined a $124 million funding round that made him an early investor. Clark dated Schmidt for three years starting in 2011. She began dating Amodei in 2014 and later married him. Schmidt visited them at home in 2018; Amodei co-founded Anthropic three years afterward. Anthropic named Schmidt among the investors in its 2021 Series A. The company has not disclosed his individual investment amount or ownership percentage.
