Caldera Freezes ERA Held at Address Tied to Binance Attacker

Caldera has frozen ERA held at an address it identified as belonging to the attacker in the Binance incident, using a new control in its Ethereum token contract to block transfers from that address. Caldera added an emergency freeze function to its token contract on Ethereum mainnet and applied the control to the address. Follow-up testing confirmed that ERA remaining there could not be transferred. The action is scoped to the address Caldera froze: its current ERA holdings are nontransferable under the contract’s freeze function. Caldera implemented the restriction through its token contract on Ethereum mainnet.
