The Bank of Japan will more than double its annual ETF sales following an Oct. 30 decision , increasing the stock-fund supply private investors will absorb from January 2027. Planned disposals rise from about ¥330 billion to ¥860 billion a year at book value. Bitcoin ‘s exposure is indirect: stress in equities could spread through leveraged portfolios. The funds hold Japanese equities, rather than Bitcoin. The BOJ puts the new annual pace at about ¥2,460 billion at indicative market value. That conversion uses the market-to-book ratio of ETFs it sold during January through September 2026.
