Blur will shut down its public website Nov. 12 after monthly Ethereum NFT trading volume dropped more than 99.5% from its 2023 peak, marking a sharp contraction for one of the sector’s largest marketplaces. Monthly volume fell from about $1.43 billion in March 2023 to less than $7 million in March 2026. Blur’s website frontend will close, but its underlying smart-contract marketplace protocol will continue operating on Ethereum. The shutdown also affects Blend, Blur’s NFT lending service. Blend will stop matching new loans Nov. 12.
