Bitget Wallet research lead Lacie Zhang expects Democrats’ control of both chambers to delay U.S. crypto market structure legislation, while leaving near-term trading and product access largely unchanged. The CLARITY Act passed the House in 2025, but a Senate procedural vote to advance it failed 49-50 on Sept. 15, 2026. The motion concerned advancing the bill; it was not a final vote on passage.
