Bitfinex Highlights Parallel Bitcoin and Gold Declines Since September

Bitcoin (BTC) and gold each fell about 7% since late September, a parallel move Bitfinex highlighted in a discussion that also addressed expectations for higher interest rates. The analysis noted that neither asset pays interest. Bitfinex said both can face challenges when rate hikes are expected. Their correlation reached its highest reading in data dating to 2014 .
