The Nov. 3 comparison placed Bitcoin (BTC) at $76,990, about 5.2% above its roughly $73,169 200-day average, on the day of the U.S. midterm election. The 200-day comparison showed deficits in each of the three prior midterm years: roughly 35% in 2014, 9% in 2018 and 22% in 2022. “The first few months after a midterm have historically been choppy to slightly bearish for BTC, but it has been higher 12 months later,” said Martin Lee, research lead at DWF Labs. The comparison covers three previous midterms and does not establish that election timing drove Bitcoin’s price position.
