Bitcoin (BTC) fell about $4,000 and slipped below $76,000 on Thursday, a 5.6% loss over 24 hours and its third break beneath that level this year. The decline unfolded in a continued slide, with the approximate $4,000 move carrying BTC through the threshold. The 5.6% daily loss was larger than the declines tied to Bitcoin’s two earlier breaches of $76,000 in 2026. Bitcoin also fell below $76,000 on April 28 and Aug. 23. Those earlier moves came with 24-hour declines of 2.28% and 1.9%, respectively, making Thursday’s 5.6% reading more than twice either comparison.
