Bitcoin Market Cap Correlation With 10-Year Real Yields Sets New High

The correlation between Bitcoin (BTC) market capitalization and 10-year U.S. Treasury real yields rose above 0.6 in 2026, setting a new all-time high and marking a closer relationship between the two measures. Bitcoin had been largely uncorrelated with 10-year real yields historically, and the relationship has trended positive in recent years. The 10-year real-yield curve is based on Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), whose yields account for inflation. The measure compares Bitcoin’s market capitalization with real yields. It does not compare daily Bitcoin returns with daily yield changes.
