Bitcoin (BTC) gained 1.60% in one hour to $82,788 at 10:07 a.m. ET (14:07 UTC) on Oct. 20, while short liquidations across three exchanges totaled $8.47 million. The price change was calculated from directly collected public Binance spot BTC/USDT prices. The pair stood at $81,486 an hour earlier. At the same observation time, Bitcoin was up 0.95% from 24 hours earlier. Across Binance, Bybit and OKX, the same-hour liquidation tally recorded $8.47 million in short positions and $120,000 in long positions. The liquidation tally covers position closures across three exchanges; the price change uses the Binance spot market.
