Bitcoin (BTC) was down about 2% since the start of October on Monday, Oct. 19, as U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $228.4 million in redemptions last week. BTC traded near $82,393 on Monday, up about 2% over the previous day but still lower over seven days. The ETFs give investors exposure to Bitcoin through shares held in brokerage accounts. The redemptions do not establish why investors withdrew money or what drove Bitcoin’s price move.
