Binance Says 5% of October Incident’s Impacted Amount Remains

Binance said 5% of the amount affected by its October security incident remained unreplenished as of Nov. 2, with less-liquid tokens taking longer to source at scale. The exchange said the outstanding tokens were outside the 10 assets listed in its recovery update. It did not identify them or assign a dollar value to the remaining share. Binance did not specify the valuation basis for its 95% figure. Its earlier replenishment update also described the remaining assets as less liquid. A separate initial incident report put restoration at 98% of affected token assets as of Oct. 31.
