Binance’s SOXL Weekend Rule Allows Mark to Fall More Than 3%

Binance’s SOXLUSDT perpetual can fall more than 3% from an earlier mark during a weekend while staying within the exchange’s stated mark-to-index band, because the index itself can move while U.S. shares are closed. The rule sets a 3% deviation constraint in either direction between the mark and index for equity-based perpetuals during weekends and holidays. It compares two prices at the same time. It does not cap a move from an earlier mark or a trader’s loss, and Binance can revise the constraint during extreme market conditions.
