Binance Plans AI Security Fund After $6.34 Billion Theft

Binance has commissioned an independent cybersecurity review and plans to expand security programs after its preliminary investigation found attackers accessed wallet infrastructure in an incident involving about $6.34 billion in digital assets. The exchange plans to increase investment in AI threat detection, endpoint protection, developer-environment security and systems for monitoring unusual behavior. It is also preparing a security research fund and plans to work with AI companies, industry participants and cybersecurity firms on projects focused on AI risks in blockchain systems.
