Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) warned that artificial intelligence could pose serious security risks in the cryptocurrency sector without directly breaking Bitcoin's (BTC) encryption system. Speaking via the social media platform X, Zhao stated that AI-powered cyberattacks are causing increasing concern for the cryptocurrency ecosystem. CZ stated that many people are concerned that artificial intelligence could target the encryption infrastructure of cryptocurrency systems, but the encryption methods used in internet and banking systems may be relatively more vulnerable. According to Zhao, AI doesn't need to directly crack Bitcoin's underlying encryption mechanism to cause significant damage to crypto assets.
