Binance co-founder He Yi said an additional $14 million tied to the attacker’s Aave position may be recoverable, offering a fresh recovery update in the Binance theft case. She said $60 million in collateral on Aave was not within the scope of a full freeze. The attacker had taken only $46 million in Ether (ETH), she said, and unlocking the relevant funds through law-enforcement channels could make a further $14 million in coins recoverable. Separately, LlamaRisk plans to use Aave’s Risk Steward mechanism to lower borrowing caps in major lending markets before a phased release on Aave V3 and V4.
